The Project: To redesign their current mobile app.
The Design Problem: The previous app was confusing, hard to navigate and was overwhelming to use. Overall, the designs for our different platforms such as mobile, wearables, dashboards and infotainment systems were inconsistent. We needed to come up with a solution for our MB owners to have a seamless experience with their vehicle in addition to using their other devices.
The Solution: Based on the research and competitive analysis that I’ve led and conducted, we wanted our mobile and wearable app designs to be consistent with the current MB infotainment systems. That included the way it looks, how it feels, the typography, color, and layout. From rough sketches on a whiteboard to mock-ups and rapid prototypes in the sketch, we worked very closely with the engineering and 3D modeling teams to create a better design for our mobile and wearable apps.
